About
Us Experiencing the first
century Church today.
Our Purpose Atlanta Center For Biblical Studies, Inc.
is committed to providing an accurate understanding of the
unerring truths of the Bible - God's Word - to the best of our
ability. Our desire is to see the Church of the body of Christ
of which Christ is the Head grow and flourish (Ephesians
1:16-23). We desire to help all members of the body of
Christ, regardless of their denominational preferences, come
to a more full and precise knowledge of the accomplished work
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:3,4)
so that by believing they may demonstrate the power of God in
their lives and see the same powerful fellowship of the first
century church living today. (Mark 11:22-24) We
present classes and seminars at various locations in
the Atlanta area as well as other cities around the US in
homes, rented meeting facilities or Churches for the members
of their congregations. We
not only offer a variety of classes and
seminars but also conduct weekly home fellowships where we see great deliverance and healing as a result of teaching, ministering and prayer.
We pray also to help others to do the same.
Our Ministry Of
Reconciliation
Every
believer in this age of Grace has had the joy of reconciling
others to God. We too joy in this ministry of reconciliation
because we know that it is God's desire that all people be
saved and reconciled to Him. It is God's Word in regard to
Jesus Christ that is the Word of reconciliation. All of the
scripture has to do with the promise of redemption in Jesus
Christ the Messiah (Hebrews 10:7; Luke 24:25-27; Romans
1:1-4). It is this Word that we endeavor to uphold and
teach (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). We cannot force anyone
to believe the truth of the scripture - neither would we want to.
But we can show people that our God and Father is
willing to prove Himself to any and all who will come to Him.
He is ready to show His love and grace to anyone. He will
answer their prayer and solve whatever problems they are
facing. He will do anything in the name of Jesus Christ if He
is approached with faith or to put it simply, with believing.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [believing,
confidence, trust]it is impossible
to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe
that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
God never uses fear tactics to
motivate people to come to Him.
It is the goodness of God that leads people to
repentence. His goodness and grace is made known by
the savior Jesus Christ. We proclaim the grace of God and the goodness of
God as the scripture does for grace and truth came by way of
Jesus Christ (John 1:17). When people know that God does
not condemn them but desires to bless them, they will no
longer fear the wrath of an angry God but will go to Him and
open their heart to Him. It is at this point they will come to
know the favor of a loving and merciful God. Everything that
God ever gives is because of His Grace and Mercy.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Ephesians 2:5
says that even when we were dead because of our sin
He made us alive when He raised Jesus Christ from the dead. He had to save us by His grace or we could never be saved
- we could not do it for ourselves - it is the gift of God to us through what Jesus Christ did.
Romans 3:20-24 Therefore by the deeds of the law there
shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
This is the goodness of God. And this is what He longs to show all people.
A man does not receive the blessings of God because of his own goodness, but because of God's goodness and grace.
It is by proclaiming God's goodness that we can bring others to know the Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and all he has purchased for our salvation
and blessing.
Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
God will take care of anyone if they will only look to Him and believe.
We encourage all to look to God and see if God will not do what He has said He will do.
Psalm 34:8
O taste and see
that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in
him.
What We Know From the
Scripture We Believe
We
believe that the Bible is the Word of God, not merely the work
of man and as such is our only rule regarding true
faith. 2 Timothy 3:16
When
rightly divided God's Word proclaims God's Will for all people
and precisely what God has promised to all who will believe
Him. 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:15
We
believe that when God originally gave His word it was perfect
and inerrant. Psalm 12:6
It is
this "God-breathed" Word that we seek to know and understand
as fully and accurately as possible. 2 Timothy 3:16;
Matthew 4:4; Psalm 119:27, 103, 140, 161,162
etc!
It is
in knowing and believing God’s Word that enables us to walk in
all the power and blessing that God has made available to all
people through the work of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and
Saviour. 1 John 5:4,5; Romans 8:37-39; 2 Corinthians 2:14
We do
not merely seek after knowledge for knowledge alone puffs up.
We seek to be doers of the word and not hearers only. Our goal
is always to conduct our lives by believing His Word, carrying
it out from the heart because of our love for Him and His Son.
It is our faith that makes us whole and it is by faith that we
will walk in the steps of Jesus Christ, doing the same works
that he did and greater. Mark 9:23; John 14:12, 15:7;
Galatians 5:6
For Those Who Want To
Know
Pray for your
country and share God's Word
.
1 Timothy
2:1-5 I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and
for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet
and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and
to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For
there is one God, and one mediator between God and men,
the man Christ Jesus;
Our prayer
for our country and government leaders is for God to guard our
lives so that we may continue to do His work of deliverance
and bring others to know the man who mediated the
greatest contract of all time between God and all people, Jesus Christ.
This is God's desire for all people no matter what country they may live in.
So, we encourage every believer everywhere to pray for their country and their leaders. Pray that you may
live a blessed life. Pray and believe and signs and wonders will follow you. 1 John 5:14,15 says that if we ask
anything according to the will of God, He hears us and grants our petitions.
So then, even if it takes a miracle to answer our prayer He will do it. When we see God's blessings we
cannot help but tell others of our great God and Father. So pray and believe and speak words that say, "it
is done!" - that you already
have what you prayed for -
and watch the mountains move!
Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you,
That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
